Designed by a team of 15 developers working remotely for one week, this data should be seen as a useful tool for those working on a national emergency response and COVID-19 plan, or efforts to ensure that tests nationwide are designed to address specific needs, to provide a complete picture of a specific virus outbreak.

The plan is to expand this to cover the outside world, says Kemmendo, who can get creative thanks to the team for increasing the value of the situation. Currently, location information is folded and verified manually, but the team is working on some infrastructure, which will help reverse the process as more test sites come online.
The efforts and data that have taken place are not cheap, Chemendo said, and although not the only sponsor, it works with bills from Google Cloud Platform and AWS integration to create the backend.
