NASA Johnson Space Center Public Relations spokesman Kyle Hfer referred to the target date on August 2 as a planned return window, but made it clear that much work still needed to be done before it could be dropped. NASA later officially confirmed that it was on August 1 to take off, and then on August 2 to take off.
